Many of the experiences from our formative childhood years are still held within our adult mind and body. Some experiences can have a very negative effect on our adult lives; problems that have their source in the unhealed emotional wounds of these innermost younger selves. So it’s crucial to discover a way of uncovering these early traumas. I doing so, we reach the core of the problem; the root cause of our own perceived limitation and unrecognized inner pain.
Childhood traumas don’t just go away by themselves; they become lodged in our cellular memory, trapped in our bodies blocking an enormous amount of energy. They eventually resurface and manifest as physical illness, emotional mood-swings and dysfunctional relationships. In extreme cases, unresolved trauma results in depression which is an overload of emotional pain that has been “depressed” and denied for too long – grief, anger or fear that has never been resolved.
Some symptoms of depression would be; Lack of interest in lifeInsomnia or poor sleepIncreased anxiety - stressFeeling tired all the time – low energyAnger and irritationFear of change
I always use the DofNA technique first to release the energetic charge behind these trapped emotions. The use of hypnotherapy and certain psychotherapeutic approaches are highly effective in releasing these deeply buried and forgotten traumas from childhood.
Very few people ever embrace their own wounded inner child with love and compassion. Instead they tend to condemn this aspect of themselves and try to push it away. Enormous healing and positive change occur when we extend compassion and mercy to these our hurting younger selves.
