There is a universal life principle that causes embryos to turn into babies, seeds to blossom into trees and flowers and galaxies to revolve around one another. This same wisdom resides within every cell of our body. With a little support from us, we can uncover the body‘s great wisdom to rebalance and detoxify itself. However, the greatest healer of all is the right mental/emotional attitude - peacefulness of mind. So, unburdened by fear and tension, the body already knows how to heal itself.
Dr Masaru Emoto through his inspired experiments with water crystals proved that when we bless water it forms itself into beautiful geometric crystals. Of the four elements, water is the most receptive to benevolent thought. Our bodies contain 75% water; imagine how we could transform ourselves by blessing the water within our own bodies!
We constantly underestimate our own wonderful potential. The mind is so much more powerful than we realise, but when our busy surface mind vacillates from one lightweight thought to another, not much of real value can be accomplished. Imagine what could happen if we could combine the enormous power of our imagination and intuition, with a clear image of optimum health. We could magnetise abundant well-being into our lives. And in the process, not only discard old negative beliefs that no longer serve us - but actively create a whole new set of beliefs that uphold the reality of joy and fulfilment.
Scientists have shown that our bodies are constantly renewing themselves at an incredible rate. To mention a few examples:
Every year our body replaces 98 % of all its atoms and roughly every 6 months we have a new biological body - every cell is renewed. Every month we create a completely new skin, and imagine! - every 5 days we actually create a new stomach lining!
Given these phenomenal changes, we OUGHT TO be able to completely transform ourselves in a few months. So why then do we still go on recreating the same illnesses, the same emotional traumas the same weaknesses year in year out?
We bring this about precisely because of our thoughts and beliefs in illness. Passing through the brain and constantly surveying our every thought and belief are little white cells of the immune system. Through the action of what Dr Deepak Chopra calls these “eavesdropper cells“, neural nets are formed in the brain and become hard wired into place by strongly held beliefs. These neural nets then cause the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland in the brain to go on creating the same chemicals that produce the same results within the body. And so the tissues and cells respond and obey the dictates of our beliefs. Because our bodies directly respond to what we think they will blindly follow the programmes we feed them from the mind.
For example, have you ever noticed how some people repeatedly affirm how sick they are? “I’m bound to catch that flu going around”, or “It’s my weak digestion acting up - it runs in the family”. If much of our energy and attention is constantly flowing into the belief and mindset of ILLNESS, then we end up creating the very illnesses we believe in. Where thought goes, energy follows – this can get to the point where our immune system, believing its weak, won’t fight off our illnesses.
To radically change our health, we need to examine and change the narrow conditioned beliefs we may hold. We need to ask ourselves: “From where do these beliefs originate? Are they really MY beliefs or were they passed on to me by someone else, my parents, my siblings or teachers? Do these beliefs serve me NOW?”
Much research has been done on the molecules of emotion. Within the brain a Neural Net is a buildup of concepts from experiences and their repetition. If an experience is repeated often enough, it creates a thought form, a concept, around which a neural net will form. Nerves that wire together, fire together. If for example our mindset becomes habitually centred around illness, stress or fear, the neural nets within the brain form and then become “hard wired” to accommodate these beliefs. These beliefs then become our reality and we never question them.
The hypothalamus and the pituitary then secrete chemicals, hormones and neuro-peptides that underpin these very beliefs. How do they do this? They do this by creating chemicals that dock onto our cells and change them to become more responsive to the prevailing emotion and less receptive to benevolent nutrients. For example, if we habitually feel fearful, angry or self pitying, our brains will respond to these emotions by secreting chemicals or neuro-peptides that are fearful, sick, or angry. These chemicals then cascade down through the body, docking onto the cells and causing them to produce sister and daughter cells that will be even more responsive to these fearful, negative states and less able to absorb benevolent nutrients.
We change this by working from the inside out - by changing our reaction to our life and our environment. This is the very first thing that we need to change because it is only by changing our attitude towards ourselves and others that we can then alter our brain chemistry and create new neural nets. Neural nets which can then form around the concept of health and well being. And so through concentration and focus, we can change and reverse our beliefs in the old negative familiar ways. In this way, even on a biological level, we create our own reality. Imagine these new sister and daughter cells having receptor sites that are increasingly responsive to healthy proteins, vitamins, and minerals - that have a greater capacity to release waste products and toxins; supporting and strengthening our immune system so that they dynamically slough off disease, pain and fear.
From years of experience working as a therapist, I have observed how my clients, in describing their emotional and physical pain, use the language of compression. They use words such as: tight, congested, hard, contracted, knotted, closed and blocked. These words describe an absence of space, a reduction in the free flow of energy and, on some level, a lack of self love and appreciation. We think of our bodies as solid forms occupying a certain amount of space. But, on a microscopic level, there are vast spaces contained within these apparently dense bodies. Within the atom there is a huge space between the central nucleus & the electron orbiting its perimeter. Contained within this space there is an enormous amount of energy and information.
Thoughts are powerful frequencies. So what if we consciously and intentionally introduce a thought form, a belief that has a profoundly benevolent effect on the body? However to introduce such a thought form is not easily achieved. For most of us it needs the assistance of a skilled therapist to break through a long established wall of negative belief. In the combination of skills that I use, I work to help people recognise their negative thought forms and then to discard them completely. When our conscious mind works in harmony with the more powerful deeper layers of our subconscious, we regain the power to heal ourselves. When we focus our entire consciousness upon these healing thought frequencies, we empower the body to regain its God given right to abundant health.
